Chapter Overview

What's the smallest living thing on the Earth? A cell, of course! We go from big picture biology to really, really small picture biology in Chapter 7 where we look at cells. In fact, we can't even see them without a microscope! But that doesn't mean they're not complicated organisms that can do lots of cool things. Just think about this - you're made out of about 100 trillion cells too!
