2003 Fall Refresher
We had a great time at our Fall 2003 Refresher on Saturday, October 25th. The day was very hot (about 100° F) and we had about twice as many people there as we expected!
Our next Refresher will be on April 17, 2004 at Fire Station 88!

OPEN LETTER FROM CAPTAIN DON LEE
I would like to say thank you to everyone who attended and participated in our CERT Biannual Drill held yesterday at Fire Station 88.
To all of you who gave up your Saturday to sharpen your emergency skills under some challenging conditions, with the heat, wind and dust, plus your flexibility with our timing in the different rotations of skill stations.
I commend each and every one of you for your patience, understanding and dedication to the mission of CERT.
The attendance of Fire Chief Bamattre and Mayor James Hahn was such an outstanding show of support for all of us, unprecedented in my history with the CERT Program.
With your participation yesterday, you have set a new benchmark in attendance of any biannual refresher drill in the history of the program with our attendance very close to 500 attendees!
A special thank you to the young adults who gave of their time to be our "Victims" and who help you sharpen your medical skills should be commended by all of us, both us in uniformed fire service personnel and you CERT volunteers.
You make me proud to be part of the CERT program.
Stay Safe with all of these fires that are going on right now!
Fraternally yours,
Don Lee, CERT Coordinator
LAFD
