2004 BICEPP Challenge
On April 4, 2004, the BICEPP ERT Challenge for community teams was held at the Los Angeles Convention Center.The CERT teams tested their skills by competing in a number of skill stations that were timed and judged by a panel of experts.
The skills stations in the event included: Fire, Triage, Medical Treatment, Lifting & Cribbing, Patient Packaging & Movement, Search, and Command Tent (radio communication and documentation)
Throughout the day, eight CERT teams (Snohomish County, Washington, and Burbank, Carson, Los Angeles - Green Hornets, Los Angeles - Palace Guards, San Juan Capistrano, Santa Clarita, and Simi Valley) trained and were tested on the seven events.
